Started playing HL2 last night for the first time. Man, those head crabs STILL give me the willies! 🙂
 
That game was so epic. I remember when I first realized that the Combine was using head crabs as a biological weapon. Turning people to zombies on purpose, it was truly horrifying, that they would do that. Then later on you see Ravenholm, a product of that biological weapon.

What a great game. I only played through it once though...

I'm surprised at how easy it is. I think the first HL was better so far, but HL2 has it beat in graphics and definately physics. The first HL had more of a "scare" factor to it, as well as a better storyline (thus far). The characters in this one are pretty cool. It's interesting to see the character development between the two girls.

For some reason, 99% of the sequels out there don't measure up to the original. I thought Jurassic Park II did pretty good, and the Back to the Future trilogy was okay, but I'm not feeling it with HL2. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but the first was...well, the first 😛 It was my major jump into FPS 3D games and I absolutely loved it. It's still my favorite game of All Time 🙂
 
The thing that started freaking me out 1/3 of the way into Ravenholm was when I realized I was running out of ammunition fast, and that I probably wouldn't find much more...

Yeah, overall HL2 wasnt a letdown but it was definately lacking in the story department. Or at least, the way the story was revealed to you wasnt as good as in HL1.

One of the few games that actually scares you the first time you play it though. Props for that.

I didn't even know you could throw those until one of the head crab guys got up and started walking towards me and I suddenly picked one up, let it fly, and it chopped him in half. I stared for like 2 seconds and was like, whoa...neato.
