whats with the top banner? its banned on the for sale/trade forum...did i miss something here? i did a search but couldnt find anything....
 
I think it's mostly because the mods don't want people referring directly to their specific auctions. Just the common ad for e*bay in general is just advertising for the site by e*bay themselves.

I think that's right though, so don't take my word for it.
 
Personally, I could care less about the rules of saying that word; I just want the damn banners gone.:Q
 
think its only banned in the forsale forum, or maybe its only banned if you try to link an auction.


personally I think this whole banned word thing is stupid, like anyone with half a brain cell can't figure out what you are saying if you post "sh!t" or "fu(k" or something. the internet is the epitome of free speech, so why restrict it?

I think its for the $$$, the advertisers must have presented anand with a list of demands for the forums or they wouldn't pay as much, so its all about the money. just a theory
 
If it's for the cash, that's fine with me. We can get around the filters, so Anand will still get his cash.😀
 
yes, getting around the filters is easy as hell, another reason why I don't get the whole filter thing, but that'll also get you a quick ban.
