I work for Carter (internet) and yesterday got a call from a guy who recently upgraded to our 16mb/s speed rate. This guy spent his morning doing speed test after speed test, and took the time to call us because he was averaging 12Mbs, losing a whopping 5Mbs! Big frigging deal, I say! Don't people realized that cable internet is a shared resource and there are many factors determining your maximum speed, and that's a theoretical rate at best?!?


After I calmly explained this to him he said the snotty "I can only guarantee to pay 70% of my bill!" Then he asked for a kiss! Gag!

I mean, seriously, how much free time does this guy have? I bet he's even posting about this on some nerd forum somewhere.
