Only reason I suggested an early cutoff wasn't to be greedy, but rather for logistics sake. I'm hearing a lot of chatter about lotto outlets being HAMMERED with multiple-hour lines for tickets.

Granted, this may vary by locality (like for me, people have to drive up to TN to get tickets, so there's one shop right over the border on the parkway that's going to handle ALL of Huntsville's lotto-buyers). But for Vivi's sake and ours, I'd like to make sure that we get at least SOME tickets.

Add a credit card to your account, but use the checking account to send the money. That way, the payment is received instantly, but there shouldnt be a fee if you marked it as a gift.

Sending payment, even from a bank account funded source SHOULD be instant. Just SEND a payment, don't try to move funds into your account first.

I think for instant cc payments you incur extra fees. IIRC, It is free if you do instant transfer using bank account.
