HayZeus 2000 and I went to closing earlier today to close on our first home. We're so excited. We got over an acre of land and it's all beautiful. The house is on the side of a mountain and the inside is like living in a cabin. It's almost all wood. There's definitely some work to be done on it because it's kind of older. Everything that you see in the pictures was left by the homeowners and conveyed with the house.

That deck looks like it could hold about 50 AT'ers and about 5 kegs of beer easily! 🙂

Closing sucks...but the end result is well worth it.

Yup, we went to closing at 10:00 this morning. When we went on the walk-through, I finally got to snoop into everything that the previous owners left. We got some cool stuff. 😀

LOL I'm hoping to invite a few AT'ers in this area to a party sooner or later. The deck is really freaking huge. The pictures don't do it justice. Plus, there's that little side deck that is off of it too. 😀 😀

Wow, looks like a great place and I like how it is in the woods. They sure did leave a bunch of stuff behind didn't they.

We bought our home last January, and I'll never go back to renting again!! I love the freedom you have to do whatever you want when it's your own!

Post pics of your updates as you do them! I'd love to see the progress.

CONGRATS! Did you have to sign your name and initial on all 4 copies of a 25 page document ? 😀

The place looks great. I'd hate to have to mow an acre though. 😉
 
Yes, they left behind a lot of stuff. The only thing that wasn't going to convey was the piano, which we bought. It felt like Christmas today looking in everything to see what we have. lol

We won't have to mow the whole acre. There's trees everywhere and not really grass just yet. The house was used as a weekend/vacation house. We'll start almost all of the yard stuff next year because winter will be here soon enough.

As for the price, we paid $138,000.

thx for the price that is cheap by ca standards. The reason i ask for price is we are thinking of getting vacation house
