I've had 2 IBM Hard drives never had any problems with it, My bro has 2 IBM 60GB in raid and going strong, but when it comes to a western digital with a 8mb buffer gotta go with that.

oh yeah... for the fastest one... i believe wd is the winner. don't even think about getting the ibm... too high of a failure rate.

I have a Western Digital WD800JB (that's the SE with 8 MB cache). It rocks. Great speed, great benches, much quieter than my old, dead Quantum AS.
