WD Special Edition drives good deals?

I'm looking into ordering a WD 80gb special edition 8mb cache hard drive.. they appear to be pretty good deals, I like the extra cache.

Any opinions?

Yeah I found their review of the 120gb model excellent. Looks like its seek times are alittle low compared to others but I doubt I'll notice a millisecond. Esp considering its transfer rate of about a 10k scsi drive.

pricewatch has the 80gb model for $113 shipped..

probably time to put my 13gig maxtor to rest.
did i say im giving it rest? no its going to be my 98se dual boot drive for my dos gaming goodness.

They have a review on the 80 giger which runs cooler and quieter...Go to the Hot Deals forum for a better deal then what you stated (under $100 with rebate!)

You want the seek time to be low. The lower the better!

this drive is awesome....fast, quiet, cool...etc.
