Newegg and Hypermicro bother have a LSI Logic U160 controller for about $42 - $52. Basically the same chip as the ones on the Adaptec 19160 controller. The price of entry for SCSI has dropped alot.

SCSI drives perform slower then the WD SE drives in apps. But are obviously faster in transfers rates though.
Slower in apps . One of the reason I won't go SCSI as they are slower in apps
I use a 10K 36gb SCSI drive as my root plus a 120gb and 160gb IDE drives to store all of my data. Works great
Is that RAID 0 or RAID 1? I'm looking for some RAID 1 benchmarks personally. I was thinking about putting 2 Raptor's in a RAID 1 config in my next computer.
