WD Media Center 250GB External Drive (lukewarm)

Product isn't listed as a current product at the Western Digital website.

Anyone know of problems / defects / failures / high noise with this particular external hard drive?

Same here.
I've had my eyes in this for the last couple of days but still hesitating to pull the trigger
 
It's on the WD clearance site meaning it must be a discontinued product.
Nonetheless it still looks like a good buy.
 
I have two similar products, the same style chassis but without the memory card reader. I have a 160GB version with no hub, and a 250GB version with one USB port in the front, one in the back, and nothing else (uses firewire for data transfer though). They work pretty well, only had a problem with em once, was with one refusing to turn on/off properly, but after a windows reinstall it worked fine, don't know why that is.
