I bought a HDD a month ago, WD 3200AAKS (320 GB) Sata...

I use it for File Storage..along with my 3 Seagate drives, 80GB, 80GB & 160GB...

I'm running Vista Ultimate...

My problem is that after several hours of operation, my WD HDD always gets disconnected...I replaced all the sata cables & power cables but still after several hours, Vista says that my WD HDD is disconnected....But my Seagate are always running 24/7..

Is this a bad drive..??? I check it & there are errors....

This is my 1st WD and its giving me a problem....

I could use a help guyz...

You didn't say what kind of errors. But a functional drive shouldn't have errors.

XP keeps System Event logs (in the Computer Management Panel) where the disk errors will be recorded. I suggest you view the Event Log and report the error messages here, too. Typical related messages will be of Source "ftdisk" and "disk".
