WD Green SSD?????

Why is WD making a Green SSD?, I thought the whole point of Green HDD's was to use less power.. even high performance SSD's use far less power. ????

Green HDDs are a sham. They are suicide disks if used "normally" and should actually be just used as offline backup drives.

You get to use all the WD-only freebies on these drives, or at least should. That means you can now migrate from a WD HDD to a WD SSD by using WD-only free version of Acronis.

There are some benefits if people see value in being locked into the WD ecosystem of software.

WD green drives are extremely reliable for me and many others. Seagate are the ones to avoid, after all the research done into failure rates etc.
