In for 2... I can swap these back and forth for my Mom, who I just gave a WD TV unit to use. Saves me the trouble of burning discs for her crappy DVD player.

Using HD tach's quick test on the drive.

Burst speed 39mb/s

random access 19.6ms

CPU utilization 18%

Average read speed 32mb/s.

For flash comparison.

I used a OCZ 4gb dual channel USB flash drive.

The results...

Burst 35mb/s

R/A .5ms

CPU 12%

Avg Read 35mb/s

So all in all. As stated above. A bulky Flash drive. LOL

Good buy. I am happy with mine.

$5 off with promo code WDE5OFF, ends 9/30

EDIT: BTW, I called it...back to $25 shipped 🙂

How do you get more than one discount per order? I need two of these and it's only showing $5.00 off no matter what I do. Just place two orders?

Nope. Nothing works. One code per account.

Bought one of these last week, my drive averages 31.1MB/sec with an access time of 18.5ms. This is irrelevant but the minimum xfer speed is 28.8 and the maximum is 34.0.

got another one
These are great gifts for friends that never back up their stuff because they dont have something like this.
