WD Black 2TB (Sata II) vs 830 256 GB for Games

I've got all my Steam games on the 2TB, but was wondering:

Would it be noticeable in game load times to put games I'm playing on that particular SSD vs the 2TB?

Do you think it's worth buying from Amazon today to do it?...

I had a SSD for games for quite a while before selling it.

To be honest, load times are improved, but the extra cost to save a few seconds each time seems rather pointless to me if its all your going to use it for.

the load times are night and day with an SSD vs 2x mechanical. i used to use dual raptors for steam, now i have a 480GB SSD and things look nearly instantly. if you have an intel board that supports caching, you can get an SSD boot drive, then get a small, cheap SSD to cache your array. i did that on my wife's computer and any games she's actively playing get cached.

It really depends on the game. For standard games it won't be THAT much better (a few seconds, as Adam said), but for games with legendary load times like Shogun 2, you may see more of a difference.
