The CC website says that they DO NOT price match online retailers.

On-line Low Price Guarantee
(for purchases made on circuitcity.com) Nothing's worse than paying too much. That's why we do everything in our power to make sure you don't pay a penny more than you should for anything you buy at Circuit City. If you've seen a lower price from a local store stocking the same item, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly refund 110% of the difference between our price and theirs.

Even after your Circuit City purchase, if you see a lower price within 30 days, including our own sale prices, we'll refund 110 % of the difference. We're with you! Although we don't match mail order or Internet retailer prices, one of the benefits of selecting our Express Pickup option is that you'll always get a great deal. On the day you pick up your purchase, we'll compare your online purchase price with the price at the designated Circuit City store and you'll receive the lower price. Any difference will automatically be refunded to your original pay type.

Have you actually done this deal?

Did you actually manage to get CC to pm to Dell.com? I don't think many have had succes with this, although I would love to hear that it can be done!

This deal should work for those with an AMEX card with BVG.

This is a hot deal if the pm can be done . . .

The rebates go to the same address. How reliable is Circuit City at filling two rebates on the same product?

one ask for ORIGINAL UPC one ask for COPY of the upc.

Anyone have any success with this? I need to get a couple drives since one of mine came up with bad sectors yesterday :frown:

CC use to match to Sams Club but I don't know if policy has changed. (It use to be in fine print on the web site as I recall.)

I don't know if Sams Club has 8meg buffer.
The web site and stores are different.

Thread title should read "after PM" which is always YMMV.

Most stores PM policy takes into account all rebates and coupons before doing the PM.

Ok...

<-- newbie. 😛

If this deal is legit...and you can get it for 40 bucks after the PM and AR.

Can someone tell me exactly 100 percent STEP by STEP what to do to get this?

Actually, YMMV, though I couldn't do this deal. At least not at the CC B&M that I tried in CT. I bought the drive for $148 after taxes and then went back later with a printout of the MicroCenter deal (for $119), and the CSR said Sorry, we don't pricematch internet retailers, but if I had an ad from a B&M then they could do it.

I bought the drive anyway because, even at $88 its not a bad deal. Just not a great one...

Nuff said..

I did this today but at staples in san francisco B & M.
It was marked at $109-special buy( 80gig, 8mb maxtor).
I used $20 coupon and paid $97. The staples rebate is only $30...so my final
will be $67...not bad for 80gigs.

Just did this last night at CC in Emeryville. Brought in two printouts, dell.com and MicroCenter online, they accepted the MicroCenter printout when I told them there was a MicroCenter B&M fairly nearby. Price was 117.99+tax, now I just have to send in the rebates! Great deal!

You got lucky then. Its supposed to be $109 AFTER the rebate. Thats how their Ad and Web-Site list it. Might want to get some more at that price.

I can't agree more. But Dell already has kiosks in malls and if you can get their ph# you should be in biznezz!

those little hut things are called Kiosks? I know there's one in a mall nearby with a few computer stations and a plasma screen.....i'll check them out after work 🙂

Whoa, now.
If I get this right--you order the WD from on of the Dell kiosks, ahem, technically speaking that doesnt make it a "internet deal"
If you get lucky with a CC CSR, you might sell that and get the HD for, 48.00/tax inc.
Worth a shot.

<FONT face=Tahoma size=1>I went to one CC store here in town and they had the rebates posted on the price tag, so they caught on when I tried the price match... then I went to another CC store a couple miles away and the price tag didn't mention the rebates and it was a breeze. the checkout guy called in the price-match and I had no problems at all. after i paid the register started printing out rebate slips and he even gave me two copies of my receipts for em! lol. stuff like this with rebates would work a lot better at the new Circuit City stores rather then the two older ones on my side of town, because the new CCs are like Best Buys layout-wise, with a bunch of cash registers while the old CCs are like a department store where you check out in the different departments so the workers in the computer hardware section tend to know a bit more about what they are selling you.

thanks for the post!</FONT>

Same here, one thing though I found the $40 rebate, but can't find the $20 one, it didn't print out with my receipt either. If they took down the rebate this is turning cold, because they also have a 120GB drive for $129 after a $50 rebate.
