Posted price is $134.91 no signs mentioning a sale. This in retail box.
I think this is a good deal for a 80 gigger.

This is model: WD800BBRTL average seek time: 8.9ms 2mb buffer Ultra ATA/100

I got one of them and they had a "bunch" more in stock, Ontario Ohio store

Wow, that is a damn good price. Even after tax it's still cheaper than the $150 they want for it at outpost.com

notice that the sam's club website still makes a reference to an old rebate. maybe they have not yet updated their website... ?

<< This product includes a manufacturer's mail-in rebate of $30 good at SAM'S CLUB October 1 through October 31, 2001. Note: Cannot be combined with any other rebate for this item. >>

Just general FYI:

When you see anything ending in a price of "91" (i.e. $12.91)... it means that it is a Sam's close-out/discontinuation/etc. item. Sam's generally sells these items BELOW cost. Don't get me wrong... the product is A-OK... I'm just saying --> whenever at sam's, LOOK FOR STUFF THAT ENDS IN "91". You'll always get a Hot Deal. :D

Another OT FYI: At Costco, the stuff that ends in "77" is usually below cost (heard it on the Clark Howard show). There's a plasma TV at my local Costco for $4999.77 that's been begging for me to buy it... but apparently the TV doesn't realize how poor I am...

Right, 180 online.

The good price is only in the store itself :( So this deal will only help only a small percentage of readers

this is better then the most recent 80 gig deal, (outpost for 150) but unfortunately I dont have a SAMS CLUB CARD, and I'm not willing to become a member just for that. <need to find someone with a sams club card>

I don't know how you guys get these prices. I go there and its $179.95...then you have a $30 MIR..final price $150.....plus add the tax for BM.

I don't want to discourage anyone but you might be right bluzjamer. That might be just a local clearance.
There were no $30 rebates at this store. That would be a much sweeter deal.

 Pssst....Don't tell anyone, but... If you go into your local Sam's, or Costco to the membership counter and ask, you can usually get a free "1-day Trial" membership pass. This should allow you to shop for free for the hot deals. Don't know if this is policy nationwide, but I've forgotten my Costco/Sam's card at home before and used this little gimmick in several different stores here in Calif. (both northern and southern)

Fair warning..the Sam's in Cary, NC did away with the one day passes. Had to buy a card last time I went there. Think they are 35 dollars for a year pass
