You might try calling customer service see if they will give you the extra 10 of in the form of a gift card or something like that.

I padded my 80GB HD order with a $50 gift card and a PNY 256MB PC2700 DIMM to get it over $200, then the discount is $20.

No. If BB has a physical presence in your state and your state has sales tax, then you pay. That's about it.

i was thinking that too, but its just such a hassle to deal with the crowds. To save what 10$? or get an extra few gigs for the same price. This is easy aside from the rebates

I picked up my order in-store today and it was a 1 year warranty drive. I think it's possible to get either one in-store, but more likely to get a 1 year drive via shipping. YMMV

Eventually all WD drives shipped before 10/1 are going to be gone, so you can't keep hoping forever.

Now... the best buy website said that it had 3 years warranty. Now.... if I get a 1 yr warranty drive.. can I call them and get them to give me a best buy warranty for the remaining 2 years?? Coz ....I may have based my purchase on that data which was clearly visible on their website??

This was a pretty fine deal, and I missed it by two hours for the $10 off. Oh well....maybe next time. C'mon all you tech stores....I want a 250GB for $99 deal for Christmas. ;)
