This is a nice drive for media storage, especially when combined with a WD6400AAKS as system drive (5400 rpm drive and 7200 drive didn't pulsate sonically when suspended in my Antec Solo, vs. two 7200 rpm hard drives).
I previously owned a 1 TB WDC Green Power hard drive and tested it as a system hard drive, and while HD Tach revealed it to be a very fast drive in terms of latency and sustained transfer rate, it always seems ever so slightly sluggish as a system hard drive (Windows XP Home), even in comparison to my WD3200KS (3 107 GB platters 7200 rpm SATA hard drive).
