i couldn't find this posted previously only older deals. good 9/26-9/30

239.99 normal price - 100mir
8mb buff 8.9ms seek. 7200rpm
item 3620115.

i tried to make it better by PM CC but it seems they changed their policy reguarding frys ads in the bellevue area.(more specifically all ads) containing the words limited quanity and no rebates. even if they have the item in stock they won't PM this all changed after frys came to the renton area. this word came from the District Manager of the Bellevue Store.

So you mean they won't match the after rebate price (that wouldn't be a shocker), or they wouldn't even 110%PM their 349.99 price to Fry's 239.99 price?

Read their PM policy online. If the mgr isn't following it, you should report him to the corporate office. Let them know you won't be shopping at ANY CC because of this experience.

One less reason to go to CC.

they won't pm Period if it says limited quanties. even though when i called frys they have several 100 in stock. cc manager said his DM said he couldn't pm any place that has that stipulation period. i just wanted the origional price pm not rebate. as the rebate is wd's anyway. lastweek they had it on sale and pmed it but this is a new policy of this week so they told me. even if frys didn't have the drive on sale they said they wouldn't pm to them. that seemed like bs to me

i went to the bellevue store to pricematch this at the CC just so i could confirm what you are saying and indeed they refused the PM. i asked the manager a basic question "arent all items limited quantity at all stores? i mean you guys dont have a neverending supply of hard drives do you in the back that you ALWAYS have?" he didnt appreciate the sarcasm but when i informed him that not only am i gonna report him to the main office but he will also be hearing from the better business bureau for his fine ability to be a prick and not honor store policy. fry's in renton is going to put best buy out of business in the area so they can take an overpriced store like CC down with em.

Most PM policies have several escape clauses. The "limited quantity" is just one of standard outs. Most managers will let you PM up to the limited quantity. So if Fry's has a limit of one drive then CC should match 1 drive but not 3.

I ignore the limited quantity when I purchase at Frys. At the checkout, they ask you to do multiple transactions instead of making you stand in line again. If they have 100 in stock they will never enforce the limit.

I bought 2 of these drives last week at fry's, one on each receipt.

CompUSA in the Bay area has been PMing the after rebate price. They matched it on 3 drives in the past 2 weeks. You must pay the $249 up front but they will give you a Rebate/Gift Card for $100 right away. It is not the same as a rebate check, more like a store credit but you don't have to mess with rebates.
