I cannot beleive you would mention the Seagate 250 when it comes to reliablity! They are the new "deathstar." the seagate 300 gb (and 250 and 400, are the least relaible drives on the market today

As far as proof just check storagereview.com

You are giving out all kinds of false information, inlcuding your threadcrapping and INCORRECT assertion that this THREE YEAR warranty WD drive has a one year warranty.

If yo don't know the warranties of hard drives why are you just BS'ing?

Umm... according to WD site and OMax site it does have a 1 year warranty. The thread about the Seagate 300 does have information about failures, both from experienced users and printed sources which might make one leery about it.

I'm somewhat turned off by Maxtor drives anyways since I just had a 160 gig hdd fry that only had a 1 year warranty. Of course it fried 3 months after the warranty expired :(
