I checked the fine print and near as I can tell it does not say excludes technology items. So apply the coupon for $49.99. The link will take you to the ad that starts this coming Sunday

Don't see how you could get this to work, since the only valid 30/150 coupon's are online only and this deal is in-store only.

found it...go to the site

http://www.xpbargains.com/forums/threadid1404session.html

but it only works on internet payments...don't know about the other $100 rebate (i'm assuming the $70 and the $10 would cause they are MIR's but i don't know about the $20 IR) all i kno is that i'm not getting screwed on this special by having it run outta stock like it usu. does on me! I WILL GET A HD FOR CHEAP I SWEAR IT!!!

I've seen the 2 rebates in their rebate section of the site but the 160gb does not seem to be online. Both rebates require the original UPC so does this mean that Officemax will accept a copy while the original goes to the Manufacture rebate?

confirmed: the 160GB WD is not online, so the coupon won't work. $0.50/gb still... up to you.

Bestbuy also has this for $179 with a $70 rebate. Will Bestbuy price match for the instant $20 off?

They usually do if you have hard copy ad to show them.

Typical of OM HD offer. As soon as the item goes on sale at B&M, the item is gone from OM online.

Well I PM'd at Bestbuy. It was $179.99 and they took off the instant $20 plus I got a $70 and $20 rebate. I needed to spend some Bestbuy gift cards, so I got a decent deal. $69.99 for a 160GB drive.

Too bad that WD makes you pay $14.99 to extend the warranty from 1 to 3 years. I opened the package, and there was a coupon that said something like Save $5 on 3 year warranty - regularly $19.99 for 3 years, marked down to $14.99 ... Maybe I should return this and wait for a Maxtor deal ???

Why? Maxtor does the same thing now too.

There's a printable $30 off $50 coupon for Staples floating around the fat wallet. I used it no problem today at my B&M Officemax. Just a heads up for those who want to try this.

I have this drive. It is very loud. Makes a whinning noise. I also have a WD 120, 40, and 30 GB hard drives and a Maxtor 80 GB drive. None of them makes as much noise as this 160 GB drive. I had it in my server for a week, decided to swap it with my very quiet 120 GB drive. Just thought I let you guys know.

is it $30 off $50 or $30 off $150? that would be awesome for a 30 off 50!
