Yeah, but then who would be motivated enough to go and do the math and calulate the exact metric-gigabyte value and convert it to computer-megabyte values?
Still, a simple "114GB formatted" would be nice... they even have those on the 3.5" floppies... 2mb unformatted, 1.44mb formatted, right on the label! >>
I have yet to see a HDD box that does not say "Actual formatted capacity will differ from size shown." Still, a rough formatted capacity would be nice. Can't do an exact formatted capacity because of differing overhead from various file systems. (For example, Mac floppies are 1.40 MB because their file system takes more space.)
