WD 120gb for $58.99 AR at Fry's

Saw the western digital retail box for $108.99 at Fry's today, with a $50 MIR. Didn't see any topics on this here so decided to post it. In my opinion a pretty good deal considering the real/rebate-price is fairly decent.

8mb. they have had this on sale every week for the past month or longer. $0.50/gb is still the going rate for hds right now

where is fry's?

West Coast mostly, Cali, NV, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Texas. Maybe more states.

Just never ever try to write a check there. It is like getting security clearance through the FBI. They will call the bank, your house. And there tends to be only one person in the whole store who can o'k a check. If you can get the check signed off in 20 minutes you are lucky.

Good prices, just try to go off hours. It can be really packed.

What the hell? Just use a CC if it's that much trouble for checks. Like writing a check for .69 cents for a carton of milk like The Dude does 😀

ive used checks there many times. never had one problem. LA area frys always have been nice to me when being at a register

He's right, it is a pain in the A$$ but only for the FIRST time you write a check there, after that it should be no problem. Any time you change your address and move though you might have to go through it again.

hey question here, frys currently has the wd 120gb for around 60 (this deal) and then they also have the hitachi 180 gb for around 70 ar. which one do people thing is better, ive heard the the hitachi ones are quite good.

If you don't have a Fry's in your area you can go to outpost.com LINK. That is Fry's retail website. It is $65 there.

Heh, I swear I waited for 45+ minutes the first time I wrote a check there (Manhattan Beach, CA store), but that was probably 3 or 4 years ago. I won't even try it again.
