Sorry to tell you but that drive has a wrong description. If you check out the model number and tech specs you will see it is a 1TB drive.

How does the green drive compare to the blue or black models? I don't even know the differences between them. Any benchmarks available?

Green = slower and less energy. Good as a storage drive, not for games or an OS.
Blue and Black are basically the same. Black is suppose to be faster but benchmarks prove that they are the same speed. Black does have a five year warranty while Blue has three years. Both Blue and Black are fast drives, especially compared to the Green.

would you really trust the rep.

when you order the fullfillment will go by the item descriptions in their logistics software to some warehouse and a picker will get you a 1TB drive.


I have the 1.5TB wd by the way.

its slower than the black or blue one obviously. but the black and blue are 4 platters, and the green is 3 , so its not that much slower for just reads. seeks is slower obviously.
