Da Meltz says it's going to be a 5-on-5 match. I have no idea how that'll all work though, especially if Austin is in it, as the face/heel stuff will be tough to sort out.. I would imagine it'd involve some of the guys from the "gang" tonight of Farooq, Essa, etc...

I loved, "If I 'Billy Gunn' the King of the Ring Title' or something similar...that was awesome.

But, by far, that got beat by Angle's interaction with Austin, which was awesome in and of itself. "Hey Steve, I was thinking, I'm tough, you're tough. I'm a former King of the Ring, you're a former King of the Ring. You're the WWF Champion and I'm a former WWF Champion. We could be releated. Want a carrot?"

That's not in the right order above (I don't think) but it was so damn funny.

Or when Vince was on the phone:

"Yes I know Kurt is a dork..."

I'm a little biased (*cough* see sig *cough*), but can they make Kurt Angle any funnier? Edge dissing on "The One" was pretty cool, too. I liked that "Vince and Austin K-I-S-S-I-N-G" sign. The ending was a little predictable, but oh well. It was definitely one of the better Raws coming off a pay-per-view in a while.

It makes me wonder what's going to happen once this invasion angle is over though. All I've ever wanted to see as a wrestling fan was a WCW/WWF interpromotional pay-per-view. What will happen once we get it though? There's only so much that can be milked from this WCW vs. WWF thing.

After the Invasion stuff, which WCW will win and claim WCW RAW, I'm sure everyone will go back to their own and do something big at WM X8.

it was kinda lame to see some lifetime WCWers who have just recently joined WWF in that skit, and how they were so upset with WCW. THe best example of this was Meng/Haku that guy has bounced around from federation to federation, but he spent about 8 years or so in WCW before his most recent stint with WWF.

And some of the WCW guys aren't true WCW, since they were fairly new to WCW when it folded, such as Mike Awesome, and some of those other guys. The true WCW is Sting, Flair, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Buff, even Goldberg, and we see none of those guys for various reasons. Kinda makes the angle lame. Booker T and DDP are a couple of true WCW guys, even Hugh Morris, but the rest are just losers. WHERE IS DISCO INFERNO? I could see The Cat and Disco doing some funny stuff with Regal. (another guy who spent ages in the WCW)

he has one of those huge contracts with time warner that wwf has to "buy out" before he can mae a wwf appearance.

they had to do that to get booker i understand.

Goldberg is sitting at home eating pizza and watching TV. Most of the top notch WCW guys are. You see, AOL/Time Warner/Turner gave all the big shots guarenteed contracts. So even though their federation went under, these guys still get paid by AOL! LOL HEHE. Kevin Nash is collecting 30,000 a month to do nothing. Same with Sting, Goldberg, and Flair. if they would come to WWF, they no longer have their free money from AOL, so they're waiting for their AOL contracts to expire before they come to WWF. Most of the guys have like 8 months to a year left. AOL is trying to buy them out for like 50 cents on the dollar, but these guys are too old, and too saavy of businessmen to take that deal.

DDP took the buyout though, I think he negociated them upwards to more like 70 cents on the dollar though.

I follow wrestling too closely for my own good.

Nash is a lazy POS that'll never get a contract with the new WWF/WCW.

I have a hard time seeing the angle here though - Austin is a heel. Booker clobbers Austin at KoTR, "invades the WWF", and has half the WWF lockerroom wanting to kick his arse. (Most of them "faces") It really isn't making a lot of sense to me.

AaronP - one of the reasons why WCW folded in the first place was the monotony of the "true wcw guys" - wouldn't you be tired of seeing in the WWF Undertaker as some evil dead man? The Rock still part of the Corporation? It's all about mixing it up and bringing in new people (and therefore, life) into it to make it new and exciting. Sometimes that's not always a good thing (wtf is this X-Factor $hit?!) but it's usually good to have change.

Booker has got to watch out with those jumping leg kick thingies. Can't be to stiff with guys like Austin and MacMahon. They are pretty sensitive to injuries. You have to work a little differently in WWF. That's why I think Goldberg will never make it in WWF if he ever comes over. He is WAY too stiff, and causes a lot of injuries, plus he has a LOT of heat with Triple H and Regal. WWF is gettin hammered by injuries right now, esp since Benoit just went down for 3-6 months, and they can't take the same kind of risks anymore.
