WCPUID and crashing

athlon XP 2500+ w/ barton core
Asus a7v8x mobo
512 Samsung DDR 400
Win XP Home

every time i run wcpuid, my system crashes. It doesn't lock up, it just reboots. When windows restarts, i get the "system has recovered from a fatal error" message. Any idea what settings i may have wrong, or is it faulty hardware?

I had the same issue with an older version of WCPUID when I ran it on my new 2600+...see if there's a newer version than what you have.

Don't run WCPUID anymore... It doesn't know what it's looking at with your CPU...

try SiSoft Sandra instead...

so what do you recommend???

what does the sentence "try sisoft sandra instead" mean to you?? 😛

I had the same problem with my 8RDA+ and XP1800+

But I have no idea why, after some time I turned it on again, now it works fine !

Maybe you just need to download the latest version that supports nForce2 better?
