Hello,

we invite you warmly to the annual "World Community Grid" Christmas Race (1.12. - 24.12.). At the end of the year we want to give our volunteering support to WCG.

To join the race the team founders only have to register at the following page: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/challenge/viewTeamChallenge.do?challengeId=3086

Information on old races:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/challenge/viewTeamChallenge.do?challengeId=1721 http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/challenge/viewTeamChallenge.do?challengeId=465

Have fun,
Erkan YILMAZ

I have registered our team for this race.
Please remember, that the Folding@home Holiday Season Race will be in December ... I'll start a thread about that next week.

Ack - the PrimeGrid Winter Solstice Challenge is in December, too (Dec 18-21).

I'm beginning to see why some people think the holidays are stressful. 😱😛

That is why we have a TeAm: 33% crunch the WCG-Race, 33% the PrimeGrid Race and the rest the Folding@home Holidy Season Race. Time to recruit more active crunchers ...

Since the Primegrid-race is only 3 days, anyone taking part in this race can still run either of the two others for the remaining days.

Also, since WCG doesn't use GPU, it should atleast in theory be possible to use GPU in Folding@Home and use cpu's in WCG...

In practice on the other hand it's more uncertain, since atleast during last race, the FAH-client was too error-prone for my liking...

In any case, my 1st. priority would be to run SIMAP until they've out of December-work. 😉

who can I count on in this race?

I will put most of my ressources in this race, all the gpus and some cpus will crunch F@H

Well, I guess this race is on too. 🙂

I'm on WCG for now, though I'll take a break around the solstice for the PrimeGrid challenge.

Anyone else joining us?

In the next few hours I will take the lead of the team again. NUMBER 1 of anandtech's WCG contribution. 🙂

Happy crunching everybody!

Would it perhaps help to mention that the team ahead of us, #31, is Free DC?
