But TitanZ will be probably TDP constrained, no?

The review is about 1020Mhz dual Full GK110(780Ti) vs 1020Mhz Dual Full Hawaii(290x).

It's either TDP constrained or they somehow lost 2 TFLOPs in SP performance through incompetence. 2x Full GK110 should be 10+ TFLOPs SP.

8Tflops indicate is cut down GK110. See DGLee review in a topic here to get the results.

Ahh.. I overlooked the 8TFlops. Eager to see, what Nvidia will do. Either way, the 295X2 is a much better deal for a gamer looking for a dual-gpu card.

Can't Nvidia just raise the clocks and rewrite their PR materials? I don't see why they can't draw 500W too. It looks like they're shipping with 2 full GK110 dies.

I guess it's possible they didn't design it with that clock envelope, but my guess is they could if they wanted to. TitanZic.

EDIT: better idea, Nvidia is going to introduce a GTX-790 12GB with 1100mhz clocks. That would beat the 295x2. They'll just use existing Titan Z dies and cripple DP.

Not sure if they would do that on their "Professional product" We may see a GTX 790? Where Nvidia does everything they can to get their crown back.

EDIT - Just saw your edit- pretty much what you said. GTX-790 12GB with 1100mhz clocks.

I think it's probable. However I would expect nvidia to charge $1999 at least.

That would be a bad move. Can't imagine them selling any with this insane AMD beast roaming around store shelves. Not to mention the mining ability of the card. The best thing Nvidia has to stop people from buying this card is Gsync.
