Nvidia won't release the 980 TI at $599 unless it plans on dropping 980 prices. With all the rumors circulating about full fledged Fiji getting a Titan pricing treatment, $599 is a foregone conclusion.

FIJI XT and FIJI Pro
Nvidia line up
GTX 960,970,980,980 Ti and GTX Titan that a massive difference between both companies.
AMD wont be winning against GTX 970 or GTX 980 in terms of effenicy and performance pet watt.

The problem with these are the prices. They also have 7999 Yuan and 6999 Yuan respectively, yet both are claimed to be US $599.

One of the major reasons for 970/980 success over R290/X are:
1. Performance. 980 leads by 10-15%. 970 is about the same as R290X.
2. Efficiency. R290/X is anywhere from 220-250W while 970/980 is 150-180W. The gap is quite big.
It's hard to sell a product that is slower and more power hungry.
But if you can get a product that matches or exceeds in performance while shrinking the efficiency gap as well as offer 8gb of vram, it becomes very competitive.
However, there's only one scenario where they can gain more perf & lower power use. A re-spin/re-designed Hawaii on a better 28nm process from GF. In this case, its no longer a re-badge but a new chip.

Nothing is confirmed before a product is launched, unless YOU have the product in hand and KNOW for sure what it is (like DICE's Johan Andersson), you cannot make such a loaded statement without proof. If English isn't your first language, then may I suggest you learn the difference between confirmation & rumored.
Plenty of users reported that undervolting their 290x and downclocking by 50mhz or so resulted in only a 5% performance loss by a much more significant drop in power consumption. That said, of course they won't rebadge Hawaii to be slower but it's possible that better yields or a metal-layer respin could have improved power consumption by a little bit. No way it will catch GM204, which is the engineering marvel on 28nm in which all chips can be judged in perf/w, perf/mm2, and overclocking, but still......
Nvidia can still easily counter with $100 price drop on the 980 and not lose any sleep over it.
Absolutely correct. The foundation might be the previous chips, but you can still build something new on the old base. AMD obviously is too constrained financially to do full redesigns but if your core is good then a partial redesign does not have to be bad. We will see.
Well it is not rumor that only 2 new gpu are in AMD lineup other wise all are rebrand and same GCN 1.1.
If you dont like that fact than you can research on your own.

You are stating rumors & leaks from various sources which contradict each other as "facts".
At this point in time, only those have received the hardware know for sure. Where's the die shots & architecture diagrams for the rebrand retail SKUs? You don't have it.
All you have do is apply a little logic, we've seen accurate perf/power charts for Titan X, 980Ti (cut down GM200), Fiji XT & another unknown chip from a long time ago. If AMD rebrands Hawaii as you suggest, not only would 380X class be 300W TDP same as Fiji XT, it would be 50-65% slower.
Aint gonna happen, its suicidal.

I wouldn't buy hawaii unless it handily beat a 980. 15% up.
I'm expecting more than 2 new chips. Last time they launched the 290, 290x and one lower end chip together, so its not impossible. Really hoping the pro is ~400.

Thus, its not wise to claim such leaks as facts. A fact is an entirely different entity to a rumor.
Even if my contacts at AIBs distributors claim something, I wouldn't go as far to saying its a fact because even they could be wrong or mis-informed.
The only semi-facts are info we have on Fiji & HBM technology because that comes directly from AMD to journalists. The rest is speculation.
I know the new AMD cards are due to be launched in a month. I am just curious, how long do you think it will be before we see the new 14nm based ones? 6+ months or more like 18+ months? I'd be quite happy to jump on the new AMD/Nvidia cards if the 14nm ones were 18 months away, but not if they were "roughly" 6+ months away.

Only a guess given what's publicly known about 14/16nm production & ramping.. I'd say we won't see a top (big) GPU on that node until late 2016. Possibly not consumer variants until 2017 due to a long overdue refresh on Tesla lineups which are still Kepler based.
True that. I'm still running an HD7970 awaiting something worth upgrading to, ideally for $399 or less.
If they release a top tier card (XT) at halo prices and a card one step down (Pro) from that around $449 or less that outperforms the 980 without requiring water cooling or superloud fans, I would be interested in the one step down card for sure.
I think it would be in AMD's interest to seed all the tech review sites with these new chips/rebrands with water the cooled GPU as a base for their new reference coolers as this will allow them to look a lot better compared to the very bad stock R9 290 coolers that many sites still use to compare against.
So a watercooler Hawaii with a small overclock, 8GB RAM and if its built at Glofo will make these rebrands look much more competitive compared to a stock Hawaii from last year.
I think AMD will do a Nvidia and milk us with their titan competitor for a few months before releasing fiji pro to compete with a 980ti.

Maybe depends a bit on how much work AMD have done on the lower end 3xx stuff.
If AMD really have gone basically pure rebrand except for the top chip or two they'll logically be trying to get their mid range 14nm stuff out as soon as plausible and it might be a bit sooner than that.

Wouldnt this mean that:
A) The slides from Videocardz is fake since this one mention 390X as 4096 cores and 50-60% above 290X.

B) Fiji is indeed a premium card with a premium card and not called 390X.
