Steve and I... well quite a few people around here.. live in Alaska. Obviously you've never been here in the winter if -46F isn't believable. No wind chill here at the moment. Just plain cold.

I'm in Alaska too, (Anchorage, usually), and it's a WARM day by Fairbanks standards! We got up to -5 today; and it was -22 when I woke up.

However, those brave souls in Chandalar Lake have us beat. It's currently -62 there (no wind).

wow.. that's cold... is it true that if you pee outside, it turns to ice immediately?


I don't really know... I'm not exactly eager to see what happens if I expose my junk at those temperatures! I'd rather not have frostbite there, ya know?
