Yip, i totally agree. Its ok to show death, murder, war, rape. but show a boob and the kid is scared for life. :disgust: i just dont get it. in my world it should be the other way around.

It's ok to show rape ????

They could rent a movie and and see a life-like depiction of rape.

Yep. Hell, the rape of Dr. Melfi a few years ago on The Sopranos was pretty realistic in it's cold, harsh depiciton.

I was thinking of "Irreversible".It shows Monica Belluci getting ass-raped.One cannot even believe how graphic and realistic it is.But the kid could rent it and it would be okay...

wait what? monica belluci ass-raped?

Yup.check it out.
I've seen that scene... it was pretty realistic but you know what ? It's not real rape. It's a movie with a real production crew and a producer who's known for realistic scenes. I *believe* showing the real stuff (or at least distributing it) would be illegal. Distributors would be charged... so same thing in this case of a boy/his friends and who showed him the nasty...

What is up with that? Why can't she choose what to show to her own children? I definitely don't agree with that.

So if I try to teach my kid about sex and use pictures to illustrate, I'm now breaking the law.

Sex is nature and it is everywhere. The worst crime I have to say is teasing the crap out of us with Music Videos and sht and then not letting us relieve the tension.

I still think that sex is cool because it is a taboo. If we were taught not to have sex or touch privates because of the risk rather than the fact that we just "can't", then I think it would be fine. European people don't seem to mind showing tities and pubic hair, or an occasional schlong for a joke right in a commercial. Yeah, that's how it should be!

The point is the kid could see some garbage like this...but he cant see some nice real live tits, while his mom and dad supervise.

I don't disagree that it's still obscene in movies - aren't they also rated for a reason ? And we don't know that it was simply "seeing" the nudity. The charge was obscene acts...

About parental supervision... it's obvious parents aren't always going to be proper in making decisions for children. That's why there is child protective services. The law is the ultimate decision-maker... until they are technically adults.

Wow! a 13yr old girl can have an abortion when she is 8.5 months pregnant and it is fine... but a 16yr old guy cannot look at a stripper.

weird.
