I was just browsing the dept. of state website and checking out the proposed amendments for the election and I came across this gem.

http://election.dos.state.fl.us/initiat.../initdetail.asp?account=41643&seqnum=1

NDEPENDENT NONPARTISAN COMMISSION TO APPORTION LEGISLATIVE AND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICTS WHICH REPLACES APPORTIONMENT BY LEGISLATURE

Summary: Creates fifteen member commission replacing legislature to apportion single-member legislative and congressional districts in the year following each decennial census. Establishes non-partisan method of appointment to commission. Disqualifies certain persons for membership to avoid partiality. Limits commission members from seeking office under plan for four years after service on commission. Requires ten votes for commission action. Requires Florida Supreme Court to apportion districts if commission fails to file a valid plan.

WOW! I love this amendment! This will help alleviate supposed bias and gerrymandering of the districts. This is a great thing for Florida! I called up and left a message in support ... I encourage all voters to read over this one. This sounds awesome.
