Bring back hanging, drawing and quartering
Just make sure it's slow. They need to suffer. Our director signed up for this one site she thought would help us (we are a small non-profit org), and since then, we've gotten a ton of spam. I had to install a server-based spam filter (GFI Essentials) just to handle it all. Over 2000 emails a week, 96% of it spam. :|
bastages..... :|
And to bring this on-topic, I had to load it on one of the servers running SETI Classic, and it's slowed the WU processing times a bit. 🙁

Nah ... you wish they would go to prison ... and you knew where ... so you could send Viagra and/or Cialis to the cellmate! He He He ... don't get even ... get ahead!
I also think something slower, more drawn out, would be better. Something that lasts for months  😀Strangely, hanging, drawing and quartering sounds good to me...

With the sudden influx of spam, I'd have to say the your email addy was harvested from someone else's computer or a web site that you are registered with got hacked.
Seems to be endless ways that these companies can come up with addresses.
If you haven't already, you might want to explore http://www.spywareinfo.com">this</a> site. It may provide a bit more insite.

edit: would disconnecting for a while, then checking from a remote machine allow a way to make sure his machine isn't sending them?
(I liked the burning of the bowels punishment 😀 )
