I am scoring 3404 with the following:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.2 Ghz
PNY 6800GT w/ NV Silencer @ 407/ 1.11
1 GB DDR 400 3200 Ram

What is the deal?? It works fine in games, why am I scoring so low? If anybody has any ideas please post. Also, if you have similiar specs as me please list them and your score.
Note... This 3D Mark was downloaded off guru3d.com and is the FREE 1.2 version and it is not registered. I dont know if that makes a difference but whatever.
Thanks

Try make sure that you don't have that much background programs (from your task manager). Also try to download the latest Nvidia drivers, and run the benchmark with your vid card at stock settings.

Idles in 57-60C range. Load about 66C. PSU is 500W Enermax, (maybe Enemax??). OC'd using Coolbits. Not sure about volts. But like I said it works great on games like CS:S, HL2, Doom3...

Had you tried other benchmarking programs? like aquamark, 3dmark 01, and 3dmakr 03 recently?

Try the aquamark3 one, and post your scores here if you'd like. It is a faster benchmarking program, and it's accurate on giving out the cpu and gfx scores. Try visit www.aquamark3.com i'm sure I can help you out there also and others too (lots of nvidia folks)

Your card idles at 57-60c? Wow, I dunno how much the difference is between ATI and Nvidia cards, but isn't that kind HIGH for idle temps? Mine idles at 39-41c.

Those temps are not in excess for a 68ooGT...I have one and mine runs at those temps and sometimes more with no problems.

I'm sure this fella is concern about his benchmark score. You might not know that if he'd solved the problem, he could get anther fps in the making. His setup could dish out 5000+ 3dmark05 points easily

s754 3700+ Newcastle (stock at 2.4)
PNY 6800GT
1.5GB Ballistix

I get ~5000 in 3DMark05. I imagine yours should be similar.

Powermoloch, that's a mighty nice score of 6,097 for a Sempron, impressive. :)

Thx man :). Used to be 6,126 using the cat. 5.6. for some reason, the new drivers brings it down to 6,097 :(. But it's all good :D

Ok, by the looks of it your cpu is ok, bit low of what should be. Usually the score is around 9-10 k @ 2.2 Ghz, if your using 1 stick of 1024 DDR 400, it's holding you back just a lil bit. But as for the video card, there is definitely a problem. At your setup, you could score 65 K points easily. had you ever tested out the card with it's original stock heatsink? Motherboard? sock. 754 / 939? AGP / pci-e?

Btw, make sure your 3d settings in your nvidia control panel is set at performance. Is your fast writes are on, try turn it off it does make any difference.

I forget the exact model but it is a Foxconn AGP 8x. Just replaced my 9800 Pro with a 6800GT yesterday so I am upset about this situation. Do you think it could be damaged or something??

Did you uninstall the ATI drivers and run driver cleaner in safe mode?

Ah, so just yesterday. It's a possibility that the ati drivers might be still be in your system, i might be wrong. You can check out driver cleaner to take out what's left over of ati's drivers. I'm thinking it is a driver issue, i might be wrong. running out of ideas lol

ATI has a driver uninstaller on their website, will that work for him? Or is that not as good as driver cleaner.
