I have wavy lines down my Radeon 8500.

Looks to be interference, but I have ruled that out.

I have it connected to the DVI-VGA adapter, only because when I connect it to the VGA output, I cannot make it the primary display.

I also have a Radeon 7200 PCI installed, and that powers a 17" monitor. It's output is fine.

The 8500 just replaced a 7500AIW, and it did not have these "wavy lines" when I used that DVI-VGA output:confused:

I am using the 7200 as well because I want to enable both monitors, and be able to actually display diff things on each.

With both monitors connected to the 8500 (without the 7200 installed), I only get the same image on each. That is not what I want.

I am using the latest Catalyst 2.1 from ATIs site.

Any ideas peeps?

Thanks,

last time I had wavy lines on the monitor it was because my power supply was bad. probably not in your case though...

anyways, I don't have an ati 8500, but I thought that 'hydravision' was included and you could have different things on each monitor. Is that driver/software installed?

the latest catalyst drivers are 2.2 as of yesterday :)
