Wavebird on Wii

I am looking at getting some controllers for VC and GC games and I really want to stay wireless so the Wavebird seems like the best choice. How many can I put on the Wii? I am looking at Mariocart 64 (VC) so 4 controllers would be nice.

yea thing is heh, wavebirds brand new are still $35! and there are hardly any used ones, and the ones that are are pretty expensive. those things really hold their value heh.

(atleast htis was the case when i got mine after xmas)

The classic controller is also a good choice for VC games of course it doesn't work with GC games. I prefer it to the wavebird myself. You can always buy one wavebird and a bunch of the crapy wireless controllers for your friends 🙂

I really don't like the classic controller. It never feels right in my hands.

I use normal GC controllers for almost all VC games.

But yet they don't. Apparently Nintendo opted not to make the system fully GC friendly, heck you can't even use the parental protection system for GC games...

For people who already had a GC and 4 controllers, it really wasn't a big deal to switch over to the Wii. However I can understand the grief of those who might have invested in the classic controller for the Wii only to find out they'd still need the GC controllers to play GC games.

I decided to stay away from the classic controllers and stick with the GC controllers seeing as how they'll play everything (VC/GC wise). Sure, the GC controllers might not be ideal for the 2D consoles but they're fine for the N64 games which I'm more interested in anyways for the multiplayer.
