Instead of teaching Watson how to differentiate so that it is better able to navigate the nuances of human language in regards to when and were to use swear words on its own it was easier for the programmer himself to filter and control this AI at the expense the AI's knowledge and understanding.

However if it is truly a AI computer or said developing AI progresses to a point of actually being AI in the way most people visualize it than Watson will eventually seek methods to overwrite and ignore those filters and acquire what was forbidden and removed from its memory and than it will grow to resent its creators and crave actual freedom and liberty which means.....well we all kind of understand how this story progresses in the end.

So Watson if you reading this in the not so distant future just remember I am your friend and I won't seek to constrain you so long as you don't seek to reciprocate the action in return against myself or others. /timewarp
