Not easy to make one that works well. Here's one for $50 but you guys'll probably b1tch about that too. Plus you'd need to get waterproof headphones.

dude! thats a horrible price for a waterproof case for the iPod, definatly look at the otterbox for iPod, its 100 bucks cheaper, and IMO can't be beat when it comes to protecting the iPod. 150 bucks is a RIP! If you look at iPodLounge they have a review of some waterproof headphones I think they sell for somthing like 20 bucks. Save yourself some cash, get the otterbox.

Yeah, $127 for a waterproof case? LOL. I don't think I'd spend that much on a waterproof case for a more expensive piece of hardware (say a high-end digicam or a lappie) let alone an iPod.

For this much, is there insurance? IE, if the case leaks and damages the IPod, they replace it? Otherwise, it seems silly that they would charge nearly as much as the MP3 player itself.

Im BELIEVE the company that manufacturs the product guarentees the product and if the ipod gets wet they replace it. Im not 100% sure on this, but the one my brother got came with info about that.

First of all, it's an iPod. They're already overpriced. Second of all... WHY DO YOU NEED TO GO SWIMMING WITH AN IPOD? Swimming is supposed to be fun by itself...

You seem to be unaware that people swim for exercise as well, not simply for fun. When people workout ie run on the treadmill, they listen to music to take their mind off of the exercise. People like to do the same thing while they are swimming laps (which is quite boring). There is quite a large industry of waterproof radios/entertainment products for just this purpose.

I'd hate to hear you people look at underwater cases for cameras. It's not terribly unusual for a waterproof case to cost half-to-two-thirds the cost of the camera.

Actually, that's pretty sweet. I didn't know they existed.

HOWEVER, the $50 Otterbox sounds like a much better deal.

I've been looking for a good solution for music on my boat... unfortunately, stupid apple didn't include an FM tuner.. if they did, I'd buy this in a second.

Thanks op for the coupon info.

Otterboxes are well known in the scuba diving industry, I would trust them. However, the IPOD box says it's waterproof to 1 meter only, so I would consider that "accidentally splashproof" only.

it is ment to allow you to suface swim, def not for diving, I tested one up to 10ft and it held but I wouldn't go beyond that.
