So I decided to try something new, watermelon julius! It is surprisingly good. The trick is to avoid putting too much rind into the mix.

I know what a rind is, I'm a Chef remember?

Why would you include any of the white, for that matter?

You're a chef? Interesting.

As for the "Why would you put milk and watermelon together?" My response is "Why would you put milk and bananas together?". It tastes good.

Even better:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, seeds removed
  • Simple syrup, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup Vodka
  • 2 ounces melon liquor
  • 4 lemon twists, for garnish
Directions

In a food processor, puree the watermelon flesh. Pour the pureed watermelon into empty ice cube trays and freeze for at least 4 hours. In a blender combine the frozen watermelon cubes, simple syrup to taste, lemon juice and vodka and blend until smooth. Pour into 4 frozen martini glasses and garnish with a lemon twist.

You don't want any rind at all.

Once we put watermelon into a juicer, but kept it untrimmed because the recipe book insisted that was healthy. Nice and grassy. Undrinkable.
