I don't get this. Waterfox is supposed to be a straight port (with optimizations) of Firefox, to 64-bit code.

Anyways, I have this problem with Waterfox, and twitch.tv. If you view a stream, there is a chat window to the right. At the bottom of the chat window, there are some controls. There are two buttons, one to the right has a gear on it.

On my friend's computer, using Firefox (win7 64-bit HP), clicking on the gear link brings up a pop-up menu of sort.

On both of my computers, using Waterfox (previously 13, now 16.0.1) (Win7 HP 64-bit), clicking on that gear button instantly reloads the entire page.

It seems to be an un-resolved bug in the JavaScript engine on Waterfox, at first glance to me. (Unsafe optimization?)

It looks like Waterfox is a compilation, with optimizations, of the 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows. The 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows is not entirely stable. Mozilla even suspended work on it for awhile. So, yes, it has bugs.

FWIW I use 64bit firefox on Linux and that gear has always been a bit iffy for me. Sometimes it displays correctly, other times it does not.

Hey, what do you know, the gear icon under the chat box works now!

Edit: In WaterFox 18.0.1.
