Watercooling

I don't know if this has been discussed before but anyways. What are the advantages of H20 cooling and disadvantages. I'm a noob when it comes to watercooling, what are the best parts (reasonably priced looking for a whole kit for under $150).

Thanks in advance,

Lubomir

Don't respond to threads if you have nothing to offer.

czech: The main advantages are lower and far more predictable temps. However, depending on your temperament, there are some downsides as well. One of which being that you have to educate yourself in the mechanics of it, another being expense. As an example, for $150 you aren't going to get much of a water-cooler. For $200 you can get a nice entry level kit, composed of sourced parts, that allows for a degree of expansion should you decide to do so. My current water-cooler cost me about $425, including specialty fans.

Since you're still rolling this around in your mind, I'd suggest you read through the stickies here to get a better idea of the process. Doing so will also help to immunize you against some of the bad advice that will come up. If you have any specific questions just ask.
