Watercooling Power Supply

I am thinking about buying a HDD waterblock and mounting it on the bottom of the PSU. Would this be sufficient in getting rid of some of the heat, or would the block actually have to be inside the PSU?

if you open up a psu, you will see a ton of heatsinks...those are what gets hot

ur idea may get rid of 1-2 degrees C if that i think

tell me how it works out tho 😉

You could remove the heatsinks and use waterblocks instead. You may see a fair temperature drop, but you'll need to be careful.
The block would have to be *inside* the power supply.

Wow that is quite possibly the most frightening thing I've ever heard. Anyway, to answer your question... Attaching a waterblock to the PSUs casing would cool the casing, and any heated units direclty attached to the casing. But most of the parts in the PSU are air cooled... What are you exactly trying to achieve in doing this?
Tas.
