WATER

We all know that water is important but I've never
seen it written down like this before.

75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
(Likely applies to half the world pop.)

In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is
so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's
metabolism as much as 3%.

One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of
the dieters studied in a U-Washington study.

Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could
significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble
with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a
printed page.

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by
45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less
likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

COKE

No wonder coke tastes soooo good:

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of
Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in
two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and
....Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric
acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a
crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals. Pour a can of Coca-Cola
over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the
rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan,
wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is
finished, Remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke
for a sumptuous brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of
greasy clothes, add detergent, And run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola
will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
windshield.

-------------------------

FYI:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its Ph is 2.8. It
will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must
use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive
materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of
their trucks for about 20 years

Still Want To Drink Up?????????

That's why I say beer should replace coke in price and in availability. I wouldn't mind being at a public place, walking up to a vending machine, and popping in $.50 for a nice, cold Bud.:D:D:D;)

This brings up the untrue urban legend that a tooth that sits in Coke for a period of time (few days) will completely dissolve.

Champo, you mean to say that my experiment failed for a reason? I tried that one before and the tooth just turned brown, kinda boring...

OK, the bumper rust bit, the aluminum foil would work on its own (it's abrasive, which removes rust). The sticky syrup left on battery terminaly by anyone who tried to clean their battery that way would inhibit a good connection, and the battery would have to be cleaned with a real cleaner such as electrical grease. If any trucking company used Coke to clean its engines, they would be quickly out of business, after working with parts cleaners, I have learned that something is a pretty much a useless cleaner unless it essentially burns you skin on contact. One of the more established urban legends I believe.

Lol dissolves a nail in 4 days. Our biology teacher said a student did a experiment on coke and teeth and it really did some damage.

Except we have saliva which helps so it isn't so bad on the teeth.

You have not used any of the cleaners made by ZEP then have you? When I was a mechanic we switched to their products and it cleaned better and did not burn your skin.

yakko; no, I haven't seen ZEP's cleaners, I usually use the stuff my dad gets for free, which is from various brands used by fleet owners to clean their semis' engines. That stuff can pull up tar, but man does it burn if you don't wash it off quick.

Oh man....now I know why I have a bad memory
Four years ago I had to have a blood test as part of a normal doctors check up. I had to take the test three times because the doctor said I don't drink enough water.

I wash cloth just to get Coke stain off? and now you want me to get stain off with coke?
ok, maybe those weren't coke stain but something else, but I would look like a big idiot to pull a whole can of coke in the Coin-Op washing machine place....

I consider soft drinks equal with a serving of candy.
Water is the only thing that quenches my thirst at all.
except beer on weekends ;)

Cant remember how many times the spam accounts got that email with the coke list ;)

Zenmervolt,

The ZEP stuff is great. The stuff we replaced our carb cleaner with worked better and I once got it in my eye and I just blinked it away. Their stuff is a little expensive(and a little nore flammable) but it is worth every penny.

Go to the Netherlands Ponyboy, quite a few drink machines give you a choice of coke, fanta, seven-up or whatever, & Heinekens, all for the same price too.

& there's no minimum drinking age there & guess what, the teenage alcoholism rates are lower there too (I spose that's a bit pot being decriminalised there, yet marijuarna abuse is worse elseware)

Guess I'll think twice the next time I want to get a coke. What about the other colas? Pepsi?
