Ever had that happen to you? Argh!!

I spent most of the night and then most of this morning trying to get a drop out of my ear. When I shook my head, brushed my teeth, or nodded I could hear it sloshing around in my left ear!

I was flushing out my ears with water. I do so regularly because I got waxy ears... when I went to the doc after getting my first job outta college, he told me I needed it bad... you wouldn't believe the amount of crap that came out.

Finally came out when I was washing my hair this morning. It still feels funky...

create suction with your hand against your ear... or just shake your head in that direction.

you can lean your head over and jump up and down to let gravity do the work...the water will go away eventually if that doesn't work...evaporation

I thought you're supposed to flush with some kind of alcohol based solution. No sloshing because it evaporates quickly.

I just use a qtip. :)

Get a hair dryer and put it on warm, blow it on a reasonable setting (not too high!) into your ear. It will evaporate the water. Problem solved.

Tilt head in the direction of the water clog, then hop up and down on the opposite foot. Works for me.

Put a little isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip and jam it in there. The alcohol will evaporate the water.

I got something useful out of being on the swim team I guess.

Yeah, all the doctors I know tell me to "JAM" thngs in my ear. I always thought it was just a way to get me out of their ER...

I always used to lay down on my side, water side down. After 15 minutes or so you get the bizarre whoosh of hot water draining.

I know the only thing you should jam in your ear is your elbow... ;)
