Water Jugs

Does anyone know how I could procure a 5-gallon water jug without any services assciated with it?

I've been searching for a while and I saw Home Depot had some, but they were selling water with a jug security deposit. I asked around and they said they didn't sell the jugs by themselves.

I'm in San Diego (CA) so I won't know small local stores from elsewhere - I'm wondering if anyone knows of any national-chain-type stores.

If you're in SoCal, you probably have Sparkletts and Arrowhead trucks that service those office water coolers. perhaps if you find a phone number for their local branch, they may be willing to part with an empty bottle.
