some water got inside my case, but AFAIK it hasn't touched anty components. Its just touched the bottom of the inside of the case. I wiped it all up, and iI was wondering if iI dshould turn it on? plzpls excuse spelling, typing on ipodiPod sucks 🙁

You spell better than half the members here.

I'd leave it open, with a small fan blowing in for a couple of hours, just to be safe.

I'd let it dry over night just to be safer. A fan would help too.

All it takes is for one tiny droplet of water left somewhere to cause a short circuit and fry everything.

A bit impatient, are we?

Glad it all worked out. Now, we all want to know... how the heck did you get water in there to begin with?

Very good question, Zap! Been wondering the same thing myself. 🙂

Water leaking from the roof then through the ceiling right above my computer. If I hadn't gotten to it when I did I think the damage could've been a lot worse.

Yes it is perfectly safe to turn it on. I routinely hose down my computer in the sink (to remove dust) using the dish-sprayer, and plug it right back in. Good as new! The extra evaporation helps keep the PC a little cooler than normal too-- it's like water cooling!

Brilliant. That's going in my sig, since I spend most of my time in the Cases & Cooling section.
