I buy quite a bit of MiO, and I never pay $4 for them. Most stores have them on sale for at least $3.49, and you can almost always get a deal. For example, I think Target had a buy two get one free deal on MiO and Crystal Light (3 for $7 or $2.33 each), but their selection isn't that good. Kroger would sometimes have a buy 5 get $5 off, which sometimes includes MiO. They would also have them on sale, so I would get them for $2.50 each. Also, they had a promotion running where if you bought 2+ MiOs, you got a coupon for $x off a future purchase of anything at Kroger (more depending on how many MiOs you bought). I think I got something like $3 off for buying 5.

Oh, and if you want a caffeine fix, MiO Energy has caffeine in it. I'll normally take a standard flavor (e.g. Strawberry Watermelon) and mix MiO Energy Green Thunder into it.

Tried the propel stuff a few years ago. I used to use it a lot. The big problem with it though was that whenever you left it in for more than an hour... It formed some kind of string gelatin stuff. It was kind of gross and added this weird texture to the water. It looked like someone jizzed (quite a lot) into your water bottle.

I get the Hawaiian Punch sticks, like 5 calories a glass, tastes pretty good and are almost always a buck. It's not liquid but they have small sticks you can easily add to a bottle of water.

Taste isn't the same as regular Hawaiian Punch but it's pretty good for a sugar free version.
