Water cooling build done and running :)

Here's the update.

Pics of it, I plan on redoing some of the tubing in the later months but for now I just wanted to build this and get it running in time for summer here.

I got this running with the help of my good friend that goes by D3ktrix on here. I did a lot of reading online first and finally decided to get the products I did and my friend suggested the MCP350, I plan on maybe adding a NorthBridge cooler in the next months.

So the components were:
Swiftech MCR 220 QP (integrated reservoir)
Swiftech Apogee GTZ
Swiftech MCP pump quiet version
Swiftech Hydrx
Tygon tubing from Crazy PC 3/8 ID (6 ft )
Plastic clamps included in kit

I only used the bottom hole on the case to route the hoses because If I routed one hsoe thru the top it would be too tight of a band and Kink. But I could do a lil more work on the loop to clean it up. For now I'm very happy with it. My CPU idle temps dropped by about 10C and the load temps are also about 10C lower and then some.

Verify it's a hose leak and not a barb leak. You may need to trim the tubing off and reapply it to the barb to get a good seal.

I've verified that the barb is good and I already have made sure it's making a good seal. Friend of mine was saying how his hose clamps are smooth on the bottom but mine are not, there's a small gap on the bottom of the screw housing.

EDIT:
I just had another real clsoe look at my hose clamps. it doesn't look like they provide a real good deal all around. The pump came with the plastic ones that provide a uniform clamping force all the way around the barbs.

Ok, thanks for the info. i will call around or look in home depot to see if they have the same ones, im sure ive seen them used before. I have more confidence on those plastic ones than the uneven hose clamps. For now I'm gonna get my pc back together and leave the straight distilled water in there till I get around to fixing the clamps either later today or tomorrow.

I just Wanna use my PC now and see what my temps are at and how well my stock case fans will move heat at low speeds.

what are the exact specs/size of your hose clamps? what is the OD of your tubing?

my tubing is 5/8"OD and y local hardware store had hose clamps that were max 5/8" in size (can go smaller but 5/8" was the max for the hose clamp), it was tight to get over the barb, but its a great fit.

I use 3/8" ID tubing, i think 5/8 OD and 3/8 barbs on all ends. my clamps said 1/4-5/8my hose camps fits losely over the hoses and i had to tighten for a few seconds, it wasn't a tight fit. I'm going to home depot later tho to get the plastic style.

plastic clamps

Those have a PERFECT fit all the way around my pump, I'll use those on the CPU BLOCk but I left the loop on for 2 hrs and it didn't leak anymore.

Looks nice. I like how your ram colour matches the baby blue on your motherboard's capacitors. And is that some custom sleeving on the cables? If I were a female computer I'd give your rig my number (in binary), and maybe more.

lol thanks. Its just the rubber housings for electrical extensions. My dad is an electrician so hes got plenty of extension chords etc. I just went and hacked one up and took 6 inches off it and took the copper cables out.
