watching Video Walkthroughs

Hell no, I'd rather play the game. If anything, sometimes I intentionally ignore trailers and whatnot, so the final retail game is totally new to me.

I watch game walkthroughs on Gameplay HD (Dish Network) because:
1) I don't have to own the game
2) I can't run any new games on my crappy computer
3) Looks cool on a big screen

Fair enough.

Ive never watched a game walkthrough before but if i dont/cant buy the game and im interested in the story or whatnot i go to wiki and check the "plot" part. Did this for the resident evil series, so despite me not having played a game since resident evil 3 as imo the series went all over the place after 3, code veronica, resident evil x? code x? uhh i dunno, the names just went to pot and i think they were only for nintendo systems anyways and not my old PS1.

yea, the vid walkthroughs seem to be a good option for story driven single player games that normally have less replay value.

i think that site in the OP had resident evils on there :)
