Watching TRON Legacy, hilarious

It makes me sad every time I go into my server room at work IRL...I always think, "MAN this needs more LED's" 🙁

I remember a story a college teacher told us. He used to work for a company that sold one of the first commercially available mainframes (or maybe it was some other kind of digital processing equipment, I forget). Their first design was a very large and heavy container... and no lights. Customers wouldn't buy it. This thing was millions of dollars and was leading edge for whatever it was designed to do, but they couldn't get buyers. One of the their prospective customers told them it needs more lights, and when told the lights wouldn't mean anything, he said he didn't care - he just wanted to know it was on and doing something. So they added an array of leds to it with absolutely not real function. The product finally started selling.

So its no joke, electronics needs blinking lights!

I disagree that it's trash. The movie was about style more than anything. The soundtrack was awesome. I went and saw it twice at iMax. If you go with the mindset of "oh, there's no motor cycles inside of the computer!" mentality, then obviously you won't enjoy the movie.

If I wanted to watch style I'd turn on a fashion show.

Look at the original Matrix. It had style AND a good story.

Not to mention decent dialog, character development, plot twists, and enough plausibility to actually allow your mind to not focus on the flaws.

it doesn't make much sense but it is pretty...and the soundtrack is awesome🙂

you have to consider the source material, if you think the open source stuff is cheesy, well you don't know how bad the original was then. considering that it was spawned from total cheese, its pretty good.

She drove the car onto the light cycle course, she also did a bunch of fighting scene no? I didn't say she can act 😛
