Watching Slalom on NBC, can someone answer my questions??

How to they know which poles to go next to, and what do the ones with 2 poles mean?

I could be wrong, but I believe the polls are red and blue. One the first run they go for the red poles, and on the second run the go for the blue polls.

im sure you can tell what ones to hit from the top of the hill, and being experienced helps too, it is kinda krazy though

I believe that they must go to one side of the red and the other side of the blue.

In other words, if it is a red poll they must go to the right of it, a blue pole to the left. I may be backwards on the colors, but that is the idea.
